A powerful earthquake of magnitude 8.2 has struck northern India, causing widespread damage and sparking panic across the region. The epicenter was located in the Ganges Plains region, around 200 kilometers from Mumbai. Dozens of buildings have collapsed, and accounts are coming in of fatalities.
